Crushing a Huge Field

We started off Saturday giving away chips. $1,000 was put in the prize pool and the 100 people that showed up got a stack of chips to start playing poker with. Over the next two hours, these 100 players fired 114 rebuys and a bunch of them took an add-on. This resulted in a prize pool of $5,500 that would be paid to our top 22 finishers.

We played down to three tables and eliminations continued at a rapid pace. Hand for hand play lasted one hand and we were in the money. Chad Ald. (Sayre, PA) finished 22nd, Joanne Cro. (Berkshire, NY) finished 21st and Sanju Cha. (Binghamton, NY) finished 20th. All three players received $55 for their efforts. Jim All. (Windsor, NY) finished 19th, Dave O’Ne (Port Crane, NY) finished 18th and Brian Str. finished 17th, each survived a pay jump and collected $70.

Laura Dir. (Johnson City, NY) finished 16th and Robert Ced. finished 15th, each picking up $85 for their efforts. Wayne Win. (Johnson City, NY) finished 14th and Scott Bes. (Elmira, NY) finished 13th, pocketing $100 each for their finishes. Ann Lou. (Scranton, PA) continued her strong month with a 12th place finish worth $115. Tom Par. (Ithaca, NY) made the trip worthwhile with an 11th place finish for $130. David Tra. (Binghamton, NY) was our last finisher to miss the final table, exiting in 10th place and collecting $145.

The remaining 9 players had a redraw for the final table before resuming play. 607poker regular Bootz Inm. (Binghamton, NY) was our first final table casualty, being eliminated in 9th place for a $165 payday. Scott Str. (Port Crane, NY) brought a big stack to the final table but couldn’t find any run good there, exiting in 8th and collecting $190. Lona Whe. (Ithaca, NY) fought her way to a 7th place finish worth $220.

Yao She. (Binghamton U) bowed out in 6th place, collecting $250. William Li (Saratoga Springs, NY) was our second straight Bing U finisher, being sent to the rail in 5th place and taking home $330. Mark Gra. (Vestal, NY) found his 4th final table finish in the last week, earning $425 for his 4th place finish. Adam Dwy. battled three handed with a short stack but eventually fell to the big stacks, pocketing $590 for his 3rd place finish.

The heads up battle was a tale of two stories. Tim Ril. (Afton, NY) had battled all day, building stacks, losing chips and fighting back. Jeremy Sag. (Binghamton, NY) built a big stack early and put consistent pressure on his opponents, steadily accumulating chips throughout the afternoon. The heads up battle was back and forth for a few levels of play with Tim bowing out in 2nd place. Tim collected $900 for his 2nd place finish, leaving Jeremy as the last player standing. This is Jeremy’s first outright victory at 607poker.com. Jeremy walked away with $1,295 for his 1st place finish, outlasting 213 other entries. Congrats Jeremy!!!
